So this is from high school but I really had some great friends!! This is a picture of the senior girls last football game.. it was a really hard one!! Anyways I still love these girls so much and they changed my life for the better!

Day 10

Songs you listen to when you are happy, sad, bored, hyped or mad

Happy - Recently I like to listen to Katy Perry - Firework... just love that song
Sad - Every Rose has it's thorn.. really random I know but I always listen to it when I am sad.. have for as long as I can remember
Bored- I love hip hop songs when I am cleaning or just bored sitting around the house.. usually puts me in a better mood
Hyped- Pink..
Mad- Depends on what I am mad at.. but I love finding songs that explain exactly how I am feeling.

Day 9

Something you are proud of in the past few days...

I am very proud of myself for making it to work in the middle of a snow storm! I HATE driving in the snow let alone around the people up here in Lehi. For some reason city people just don't drive very nicely in the snow. I stay in the slow lane and out of their way but they still like to drive crazy... anways I made it to work and home all in one day ha :)

Day 8

Short term goals for this month and why

Well I have tried to get back to the gym recently. I feel so weak.. I can't even do a single push up!! ha.. I haven't really ever been big into weights growing up and more recently I have discovered how plain out weak I am. I have been trying to get into the gym more so I can tone up a little bit.

That's about the only goal I have had for the month :)

Day 7

A picture of someone or something that has the biggest impact on you.

Death

Okay, so I realize the sunrise doesn't necessarily represent death but in a way it reminds me of those mornings after death has occurred. You are supposed to put a picture and the Grim Reaper seemed a little to extreme and posting a picture of a dead body is just darn right creepy. So I went with the beautiful sunset ... it reminds me of Heaven and where our loved ones are going.

Death has had such a huge impact on not only me but my entire family. We have lost so many loved ones way too early. I miss them all so much everyday. Death, though has had such a negative impact in losing my uncles and grandparents and cousins but it has changed my life in a positive way (other than those people not being here). My father endured so much pain for those couple years he lost all his brothers but that is when I first recognized the strength my father had. He is so amazing of a man you couldn't even believe. His heart is so big and open and kind and I believe a lot of it is because of what he went through. A lot of people use death as a crutch to blame life's problems on... not by dad. It's a strength for him that he has overcome the deaths of his brothers. He misses them terribly every single day of his life there is no doubt in my mind about that. But he continues to live his life for God, when most people would turn away. He continues to be the amazing dad that I have always known and the great person that he is even though he has struggled with so much.

I miss my grandpa so much each day, I will randomly break into tears just thinking about all the things I have missed with him that some others got to see. I occasionally run into people that knew Principal Barton and have nothing but the greatest things to say about him. I loved him so much but I was only 12 when he died. I wish I knew him as me being an adult so I could have had some of his words of wisdom. The man was a genius!!

Long story short ( sorry for the rambling) death has probably been the thing that has had the biggest impact on my life.

Day 6

You're favorite Super Hero and why...

Well Superman of course... I don't necessarily know why but of all the Superheroes he has always been my favorite. Truthfully there are only 3 actual superheroes in this world Batman, Superman and Spiderman.. the rest are just imposters. I like Batman but he doesn't really have any powers... Spiderman .. well he just isn't as cool. Then Superman he can fly and is super strong and was quite dashing if I do say so myself haha...

This place is absolutely amazing. It's crazy to think about what happened there. As I was walking through I just kept wondering was it right there.. maybe there.. it all is so beautiful and peaceful and breathtaking. I have never been so close to my Heavenly Father as I was the night I went there.

A habit you wish you didn't have...

Biting my nails! I am absoultely ridiculous when it comes to biting my nails. I even have fake ones on and have a hard time not biting those off. I have been able to have fake nails for quite a while now which has helped but every once in a while I still bite one off ha..

It finally happened....

Well, on May 5th we officially moved out of the Salina house. It was a sad day .. mostly for me haha I had to leave to come back to work the next day so I left first and it wasn't easy. I loved that house, everything about it. I loved the times my family spent there growing up. We had a lot of fun memories. I thank God everyday for being blessed with such an amazing family. We were very lucky to get to stay in that house all those years and it was a great place to grow up! My family had a lot of fun times there! I'll always remember the Sunday night dinners, the house was crazy when all the kids came over. Dinner was always fabulous and the time spent with the family is irreplaceable. Some things I will always remember about the house...

1- Dad chasing Brady down the stairs - Brady breaking the stair because of his hulk-like moves

2- Bathing Kaly in the backyard in the summertime.. also, bathing Berkley just in time for him to run to the back field and get muddy.

3- The backyard BBQs

4- All the late night chats with my friends and mom

5- When mom through a towel over the railing just in time for Tara to get it by the golden fan hanging over it...

6- I remember each time one of my sisters moved out. I was heartbroken each time.

7- Bone, Thugs and Asparagus - My sisters band. (They used to let me handle the CD player while they performed)

We had so many fun times in that house it was hard to say goodbye. But we will always have the memories with each other. Thank you mom and dad for everything you have done for us. I appreciate you waiting for me to graduate highschool before moving and allowing me that extra time. I love you both so much! I am so happy you get to be together again!!

50th Birthday Parties

My wonderful mother turned 50 on December 5, 2009 and my amazing father turned 50 on April 3, 2010. Yes my mom did rob the cradle a little bit :).

We had a blast.

We threw a surprise birthday party for my mom and all of her friends and a lot of family came! She was really surprised and it was so fun to give her a party to celebrate how great she is. My dad told her that we were going to play basketball at the church for a little bit and that is where we were all hiding. When she walked in the door she was thrown back and thought it was a church event. We finally got her in and enjoyed the night.

Mom- You are such an amazing mother. You have been the best example to me and I owe you everything. You have carried me through many hard times and I thank you for that. I thank God everyday for the family that he blessed me with. I couldn't have had a better mom!

Now dad's party... We all went over to Krista's house and had a 70's themed party. They decorated the house to make sure dad knew exactly how old he was :) We all made a video of saying happy birthday to dad and it turned out really cute and special! Our gifts were all five memories that we had of him. We had a ton of memories to choose from so our five favorites were hard to choose :)

Dad- You are and always have been my rock. You are my daddy... You have been through so so much in your life yet your soul always shines so bright. Your strength has carried our family through some difficult times and your wisdom has helped us through so many questions. I love you so much! Thank you for always being there for me and teaching me all you know!
